Every Week 21

So I've been in Europe for the past week and it has been an experience of a lifetime. Although we'll be living in Maastricht, Netherlands for the rest of summer, we had a fantastic group trip with my group of 40 from Baylor organized by Millennium Tours.

Here are some shots from my iPhone that I got this past week!

This was taken while enjoying some tea and a "snowball" (a German pastry) in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany; a quaint medieval town where we stayed.

Taken at sunset in Lindau, Germany; a beautiful little island where I also had a delicious "Special Bagel Burger" which was suggested by a local. Some good times with good people.

This was taken from the bus on the way to our lunch in the Swiss Alps. If you closed your eyes for a minute you could miss a view like this. I wasn't going to let that happen.

We took a train up to Mt. Gigi where we had a nice lunch this shot was from our ride down.

This is one of the most beautiful churches I've ever been in. Ottobueren Monastery was absolutely gorgeous. When we arrived, a service was just ending and so when everyone who had attended left I jumped in the aisle and grabbed this shot. I'm so glad I did.

Montreux, Switzerland was probably my favorite place that we stayed. Our hotel, Eurotel, was right on Lake Geneva where we had a breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps and a couple of my friends and I decided to wake up early for the sunrise. Yes this mean less sleep but it also mean the got to see God show off. He painted us a beautiful sunrise for us to enjoy but before he did, He lowered the moon just over the Alps.

Not too long after, as we were sitting on some rocks by the water a few swans passed us just as the sun was hitting the mountains in the background. Could this sunrise get any better?!

As if this trip couldn't get any better, we take a Lake Cruise from Chillon to Vevey. Before the boat came, we were able to walk around.

Shout out to Stephanie for letting me take this cool pano of her with the Chillon Castle on her right. We toured the castle just before this and it was so neat to read about all the different things that happened hundreds of years ago in that castle.

Every Week 20

Brian Freeman is the man. We lived only a few doors down from each other freshman year in Penland and had a class together this last semester. He was kind enough to let me tag along on one of his hunting trips down at his ranch. On the way we stopped at HEB to grab the drinks and food and we ate well. It's always a good time shooting stuff and riding around in the jeep. Waking up early trying to kill some turkey didn't work out in our favor but that just means we have to come back next year with a vengeance. I had a great time.

On another note, I made it to Maastricht, Netherlands and will still continue post this blog although it will be at weird hours due to the time change and my schedule. I hope y'all are enjoying this blog! Thanks for tuning in.

Every Week 19

Wow, it has been so fun getting to know these two this past year. Bonnie and Jase joined my mi casa (which is what we call our small groups at UBC) and have become like older siblings to me. They are absolutely hilarious, I laugh at just about everything that Jase says, and they know how to have fun. I was blessed by Bonnie's ability to bake any kind of food you could dream of and man, those biscuits are delicious. I'm going to miss them next year but I know they will love Santa Barbara! Count this as a one year anniversary shoot. Enjoy!

Every Week 18

Rewind back to the summer of 2014 at Kanakuk Kamps and that is where I met Darius Ewing. I was wearing a Baylor shirt and he said, "I go to Baylor" and from then on we were friends. Darius is kind, genuine, and really chill. He works at Common Grounds, one of my go-to study spots, so I often see him and he always has a smile on his face. Seeing him is a breath of fresh air. We had been trying to set this shoot up for over two months and finally made it happen and I'm very happy with the shots that we got in this short amount of time that we were able to fit into our busy schedules. Enjoy!

. . . and he can do a pretty amazing toe touch

Every Week 17

So my camera is currently in Austin getting repaired. After 5 years of use one little part in the battery door, that allows the camera to turn on, decided not to work anymore. Anyway, for this Every Week post I decided to throw it back to Easter break with these awesome dudes. Worth Loughlin and Chase Wommack are some genuine guys that I have only started to get to know. We took a quick camping trip to Colorado Bend State Park. It had been a while since I've been camping but it was a blast. Listened to some good tunes, cooked and ate some good sausage, bacon and beans, drank some good whiskey and enjoyed each others company around a raging fire. In the morning we packed up and took a hike to a beautiful waterfall before heading back to Waco. I hope you enjoy these photos of a couple of dudes.
