So I've been in Europe for the past week and it has been an experience of a lifetime. Although we'll be living in Maastricht, Netherlands for the rest of summer, we had a fantastic group trip with my group of 40 from Baylor organized by Millennium Tours.
Here are some shots from my iPhone that I got this past week!
This was taken while enjoying some tea and a "snowball" (a German pastry) in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany; a quaint medieval town where we stayed.
Taken at sunset in Lindau, Germany; a beautiful little island where I also had a delicious "Special Bagel Burger" which was suggested by a local. Some good times with good people.
This was taken from the bus on the way to our lunch in the Swiss Alps. If you closed your eyes for a minute you could miss a view like this. I wasn't going to let that happen.
We took a train up to Mt. Gigi where we had a nice lunch this shot was from our ride down.
This is one of the most beautiful churches I've ever been in. Ottobueren Monastery was absolutely gorgeous. When we arrived, a service was just ending and so when everyone who had attended left I jumped in the aisle and grabbed this shot. I'm so glad I did.
Montreux, Switzerland was probably my favorite place that we stayed. Our hotel, Eurotel, was right on Lake Geneva where we had a breathtaking view of the Swiss Alps and a couple of my friends and I decided to wake up early for the sunrise. Yes this mean less sleep but it also mean the got to see God show off. He painted us a beautiful sunrise for us to enjoy but before he did, He lowered the moon just over the Alps.
Not too long after, as we were sitting on some rocks by the water a few swans passed us just as the sun was hitting the mountains in the background. Could this sunrise get any better?!
As if this trip couldn't get any better, we take a Lake Cruise from Chillon to Vevey. Before the boat came, we were able to walk around.
Shout out to Stephanie for letting me take this cool pano of her with the Chillon Castle on her right. We toured the castle just before this and it was so neat to read about all the different things that happened hundreds of years ago in that castle.
